I'm looking Lamiglas ESPRIT FLY rods in 4wt and 9wt.
Does anyone have any hands on experience with these rods?
Would like your opinions or suggestions regarding these rods?
Thanks,

I have 2 of the older ones, a 6 wt Esprit LHS from the 80's and a 7wt Esprit LHSII from the 90's. Nice rods slower mod-fast action, pretty reddish/brown blanks...C/22

I haven't tried the latest models, but I'm usually partial to Lamiglass fly rods. I've got a 9' 7 wt and 9 1/2' 8 wt that I built up from blanks 10 or 11 years ago. I still like them and still fish them when I'm not using a Spey rod or one of my bamboo sticks.

Lamiglass tend to be medium action, which I like, in a world where graphite has become stiff as a fireplace poker.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Thanks for your input, Guys!
I talked to Lami boys and they told me ESPRIT is now their top of the line bug rods.
Meaning these are extra fast rods equivalent to top Loomis and Sage rods but more cost effective for consumers.
I'll be checking these out at the shows coming up.
