Several boards are talking about the lack of baitfish in the sound this year. My experience is that I am seeing more bait this year than ever before. Whether it is salmon fry, krill, perch or sand lance, I am amazed at how much is around. Curious what the rest of you are finding. I am fishing the south and central sound.

The problem i have found with all the bait around is getting the fish to take what you offer. I want another shot at the Kings we saw the other night... SO COOL

The amount of bait is leading to selectivity. I was talking with a friend about how to encourage strikes. What techniques are you going to use? Faster retreive, twitches, changes of direction, pauses, all of the above? I am still upset over having that Silver turn 1 foot from my rod tip as it opened it's mouth and saw me standing in the boat. I was sure he was gonna eat that fly. Thats fishing.
