I've lived in the Aberdeen area since 1968....have fished all the local rivers from the bank, from drift boat and my jet boat. This time of the year my target was the Late Coho.
First time EVER, water color was good today. No boats or take out rigs at the highway boat launch, same at the West Fork and no put in rigs at Decker Creek.
Now the bad news, river just below Crook Creek, is jammed with "big wood" and complete "no way thur" from bank to bank. Maybe be able to pull a raft or drift boat around the wood on the West side of the river.....maybe?????
Have no idea what the river was like from Crook Creek to West Fork, I do know lots of wood came down during all the high water .....
If you do fish, do with lots of caution!!!!!!

I've been launching at the park rather than decker since last Feb or so.
Late coho season was a bit of a disappointment for me this year, I mostly focused on the chehalis between porter and oakville. Me also. Seemed to be a lot less fish around this year compared to previous years. Found it to be best up below the park in Centralia.

Looking at the Bingham trap report Bingham is 400 for lates last year at the same time 1800. The Nooch numbers at the dam trap is also down with the Skookumchuck down also so no idea why. The thought was high water let them get by but the trap reports say nope. Forks Cr lates numbers are good and Willapa Coho in general did OK. So it looks like Late Coho in the Chehalis bit the dust.

Late coho on the Chehalis bit the dust when Q's started netting for "steelhead" 5 days a week in November however many years ago.

Yes sir but not the hatchery releases they are the same but the wild fish numbers at the hatchery rack stinks also. So your 100% correct on wild !
