Hey how about everyone coming to the NOOCH this weekend, maybe we can set a new guiness world record for most boat on one river in a single day. If that doesn't work how about free t-shirts for the first 75 boats to put in at the cross over bridge.

Local if the hatchery was funded by only the money gotten from your lic. sold to the local towns people up there they would not make it to years end let alone pay the light bill. Are lic lets us fish all rivers so get off you high rock that you are standing on as most every one here fishs a river out side of there back yard.

Drift Boat, your missing the boat so to speak, it isn't about who is fishing the NOOCH, it is about how many people are fishing it. What I am saying is there are only X amount of fish in a river system and a small river can only take sooooo much presure. You guys should be E-mailing each other if your catching fish, not posting it all over the web. I would think that if you lived in the Seattle area you shouldn't want to deal with all the B.S. traffic problem you face every day. Why would you want to create the same problems on a river you are fishing. Enjoy and remember take more trash out than you brought in.

Local--
It is too late for you try to stop people from fishing the nooch. It is as well known as any river in the state now. The 'good ol' days' are over!!! Quit *****ing at other people for sharing info on this board, that's what it is here for. If you really want to blame someone, blame the state. They are the ones that let the Cowlitz become what it is today. Where do you think most of these guys came from????
P.S.-- Do you really think you are the first person on this board to experience this?? Most of these guys had there own little favorite stream at some point, guess why they are moving around. Get a clue........

Local I know more than what you think about the amount of boats on the river. But it is the right of every person who get a lic. to fish where ever he or she wants. ..Your post in the past of all but said that if you are not from there stay off. Well if that was the case and only the so called fishermen from there had there money go toward the hatchery then I do think it would not last long. I work hard for my money and do think that gives me the right after getting my lic. that I can and will fish where I want. As for telling people on this bb about how I did I still will as this helps people out and I do think that the people of this bb is able to figure out the river enough when they are on it to get a fish so I am not helping them all that much. Some people only get on weekend here and there to fish due to work and they would like to know where they have a little better luck getting into a fish.

Hey, You guys are right, The good old days are gone. You should have been on the river 25 years ago, you would know how I feel. It use to be great, relaxing, uncrowded, lots of fish to keep or release. But your right, that was than, this is now. Enjoy !! just leave with more thrash then you take in.

How about a little less crying about how many people are on the river in this forum topic? I am new to this forum and see these two guys ***ching about something that will never be solved. My dad always told me that if you hold your mouth just right, you'll catch the fish. I am sure he didn't mean wide open crying like a baby. Knock it off guys and just tell us how your doing, what the river looks like, tips, and what seems to be working. Keep it positive!!! Hope your drag sings to you!!!

If everyone took out one bag of trash while on the river they were fishing at the end of the day all of them would shine.

Thank's Drifter, If I can't un-flip some rookie or pull out a 2w drive off the gravelbar I'll bag some trash! Leave the river's looking better than when you arrive. We can all make it better 1 beer can at a time
