I know that Bob will not be around, or at least will not be doin any guided trips in Washington in mid-September. So. I am lookin for a guide that has open days from September 17th-21st. We would love to go after some CHOME-BRIGHT KINGS (if any are available at that time of year). There will be two of us (me and da ol lady) and we will want to book two days. As I mentioned we would love to hook just one or two LARGE, JUST IN FROM the SEA CHROME BRIGHT KINGS vice catchin smaller and/or darker fish. We love active fishin that involves casting and working the lure/bait, altho we are at best rank amateurs when it comes to fly fishin. We also hope to find a good "teaching" guide as well. I know that is quite a shopping list, but what the hell. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any suggestions. I'd really appreciate some recommendations as I'm currently sentenced to another two and a half years in San Diego and don't know how often I'll be able to get back home to Washington to fish. BTW this is gonna be a combo Honeymoon/fishin trip (somewhere between Whidbey and Forks the trip will magically transform from a honeymoon into a fishin trip! BTW I've been chasin Sol Duc Kings for about 12 years now ever since a buddy of mine lost a 65 lb buck up by the hatchery in 88 or 89. Haven't had a whole lotta luck - 90% of the ones I've hooked have gone down to the bottom and I've gotten impatient and broke them off or they managed to snag me up with the same results. Thanx and I hope that ya all are able to take advantage of what looks like at least from halfway around the world one of the better salmon fishin seasons in a long time. Take care and tight lines...

Sincerely,
Roger

Roger,
Two really good guides are Mike Kelly(Hells Anglers) and Mike Sexton. Mike Sexton is in the Cheallis area and Mike Kelly can be reached at 360-269-7628. Both of these guys are great guides and may not have anything available but it's worth a try. Good luck, CraigH
