Loc: Rivers of OR and SW WA.
Anglers report that this last week was one of the best first weeks of the year in over 20 years. It seems recent rains have keep anglers off the rivers since Thanksgiving and as a result there are lots of fish in all the rivers. On other news, the 187 land slides along the OR & WA coast are being cleared and transportation officials hope to have most highways open to travel by Presidents Day. Ya know, those drought years wern't that bad after all. I can now launch my driftboat in my back yard...........

Yeah, I'm thinking about getting the decoys out and setting the V pattern in my new pond in my yard. It's getting big enough to hold a couple dozen deeks. Or perhaps we could use it as a rearing pond.. wink

There's a heck of a lot of chrome swimming around under all that chocolate water. When the bigger dammed rivers like the NF Lewis and the smaller zippers come in it will be some big time fun! The rest of the rivers will need a little more dry time, but when they all come into shape it's gonna be just nuts all over the place! (It will clear up before they all spawn won't it? wink ) Get your gear ready.
