Arguably the worst displayers of seamanship wherever they go...not every single one of them but the sensible one's are surely in the minority. rolleyes

If I can hit you on your jetski with a full brown bottle with little effort...you might be running a little to close for comfort! mad

Man, I might have to give up on steelhead. Those jet skiers jump higher and hit like a train! laugh

Yes I would have liked to do that to a guy the other day, or a 9mm would have done the trick. I took a slow motor in to the ramp and moved out of the jetskiers way. Tied the boat up and walked up the ramp. Hear he comes at about 1/2 speed big wake pounds the boat against the dock over and over. I gave him a what for mad and the other guy states he is new sorry. No damage to the boat so off I went. This kind of of stuff does not make my day.

Problem with those things is that there designed use does not mix with anything but themselves. They are designed to be used for thrills at high speeds doing summersaults which does not mix with the a fisherman at all.

I was fishing haven lk. years ago and got litteraly swamped by a jet skier. Some kids parents were gone and the kids [I was a kid too]were haveing a big party.I was slow trowlin for cuttys.A smart a** from the party came charging right at me like he was going to hit me and turned at the very last minute and just plain washed me and my girlfriend.I of course got plain mad and charged over to the party and proceeded to get into it with the guy.I was hanging out at a friends parents summer home with three other guys and they saw all this and drove over to this house with the big party and before we knew it there was 6 or 7 of us beating the sh## out of each other!Somebody living on the lake reported it to the sherriff and they showed up and hand cuff us.We got out of it because the neighbor that reported it stuck up for us to the sherrif.I got to stumble around with a broken nose out of that one.My buddys parents summer home suffered from vandelism for years after that.

I just do not fish around them things any more.

A couple of log rounds tossed into their path, always leaves a good impression. They'll steer away or slow in fear of hitting logs. Sleds aren't any better as far as I see. They tend to drive like crapheads just because they can. Top speed though the hole all smiles and huge wakes. And ten minutes later back down the as*holes go. Thank god for small rivers. If you don't like it then go exploring for smaller rivers. They will never go away. There are no enforce on the water and if there is the cops are on the skis too. J.C.B
