Hey there (RT)

Congrats on finally catching a fish in a floatilla. :p

considering how far we Washington studs had to travel, and most of you're Oreo's live there.

Did anyone notice how Rt's fish till had the tether marks on it,from being tied off for a few days rolleyes

I will say ....all the Oreo's I met were great guys,
Stew you seamed pretty normal, can't you find anyone else to fish with???

I expected this from Rt,he 's not a very good loser wink
and an even worse passenger
you're new nick name........Smudge ... eek

Seiku.......you oreos better just stay home...Os

Os: "you're new nick name........Smudge" - LOL Mike. You'll think twice next time about giving me a ride to my truck, ay? laugh Watching Giz yak up the weigh-in can do that sort of thing to people.

As for you Aunty sweetie, I only mentioned KT's fish missing the weigh-in by "5 minutes", so the Wassies could make another long troll, according to Jim's ifish post - ya, right. rolleyes And then you start mentioning 22 hours?!? Hey young lady, don't make me come up there and put a saltwater whuppin on ya! wink Besides, under the funnin posts I said "All in fun. KT should have been more ascertive of his rights - the quiting time was set. And the rules did say weight. So ya, the Wassies lucked out and won this thing." Well, that and they watched the successful Oreos pretty closely. I'll give them credit for being smart about that. btw Giz, I didn't loose. Us Oreos lost (this Florida type decision ... jk). ... So now I will go seek comfort with my new plastic girlfriend. wink

Hey, it wasn't KT's fault we missed the weigh-in! We just had to make that infamous "one-last-pass" and it was me who hooked up with a nate and cost us the precious 15 minutes we missed by. Traffic in downtown Longview was nasty and we mis-judged the time and distance to St Helens for the launch we needed to make it to the island.

KT was really gracious about the whole thing and didn't even mention the potential fact that we might be sandbagging an Oregon fisherman.

Sure wish we had made it though, 'cause you all missed the chance to meet the World-famous Bubba Bain and his sidekick Hoochie!

F-5 at Sekiu Sept. 14 anyone?

MY OH MY.......

Guess I had better chime in here...the major question I have in regards to all of this and one that we better settle on before F5 is this. If I am in a boat skippered by an Oreo and catch the biggest fish...is it an Oreo fish or a Wassie fish??? I don't care but we all know that presentation has a lot to do with it.....hmmmm....sure glad we missed that weigh in! This thread and others have been to much fun! Little contoversy is good for us all...hehe.

Dave aka Kilgore Trout is a class act! Still can't believe it was his first King...what a dandy! 35.5" long and 21" girth...I had a silver go almost 22 with those same measurements and this fish had shoulders to him! If any of you get a chance to take Kilgore fishin do so...great companion...makes a heck of a sandwich to!!

RT...F5 will be tough for me to make as most of my days during that time of year are booked...but I'm thinkin if I can make it you need a little time in the Bubba Barge...whatcha say??

RT, ya better take Jim up on that offer.

Also, if you remember, last year I had a seat for you at Sekiu and you missed out on a chance at a state record Coho that month. Sekiu is HOT in September. Still might have a seat for ya if yer really nice and don't bring those pink boots.

I have read all the 3 boards about the F5 and F6 proposals, as well as some mail from friends, and the early feedback consensus seems to be Aug. 24th for an F5 at Bouy 10 and Sept. 14th for an F6 at Sekiu. That keeps them a ways apart, and gets into big fish at Sekiu after the Labor Day crowds have dispersed. Post some more feedback for these guys though. ...

Hey Jim, if and when ya get a break from the guiding, it'd be nice if you, Jeff, and I could get out fishin together one of these days. Bouy 10 would be can't miss. Cowlitz summer steelies would be good too. Keep in touch. btw, just teasing about the stall tactic to help the Wassies win F4. All in fun! wink Sort of a wean down from several weeks of trash talkin.

... Hey, July flotilla on the Cow? Hmmmm.

Same for you Hoochie. It's no secret that I'm a fishin 'ho. smile Sekiu is top notch! But I can't make any promises about the pink boots. Oh wait, Stew will be borrowing them to flyfish in Sept. and Christmas shop in them in October, so no prob. laugh That's after Aunty refurbishes them of course. btw Marsha, don't pay any attention to the smudge jealousy of the boys. Some guys just have it when it comes to enjoying rocky road. Some don't. cool

August 17th will be better but the 24th will work.

JMHO (just my humble opinion)

I will look at the tides next....and post again.

ok...my opinion and I am sure we will get two schools of thought here.

I prefer the 17th...High slack is at 10:15 this high is after a big incoming...the low slack is at 3:30 but from high to low there is only about a 2.25 ft runoff.

The 24th has a low slack at 9:20 with a high slack at 3:30 with almost 6ft of water coming in.

If we choose the 24th I think Team Power Pro would have to be Team Power Pro / Bain as we have a family reunion in Ilwaco that weekend...hmmm...wonder who was responsible for choosing date and location???? laugh

Anyway...just more of my opinion.

RT, there is no doubt that we need to wet a line together someday...it will happen!

Good one Catch & Eat. rolleyes But it would have been a really really outstanding state-of-the-art 'prime cut' piece of smack if you had posted it before I wrote I was just funnin around with the recount stuff. ... Also trying to promote the future flotillas with the (essentially meanless) Wassie vs Oreo thing. If you don't understand this message, have your mother read it to you real slow. Or have Troy explain it to ya. wink btw, I dance better than Al Gore.

yeah? confused but Al has better lip service. eek Besides the smack stuff my mommie said that I understood every thing just fine and that you should be nice to everyone. Otherwise you will have to sit on the porch during the evening meal. :p wink

Just funnin ya Steve, where's you sense of humor? rolleyes BTW, my daddy saw you at the flotilla and he thought you were 7' tall. Now he knows better. laugh Not as tall as William Wallace per the rumors of course. smile

Sense of humor? I think I do alright with that. I know you were kiddin around; obviously. Yo needin a little 'splainin about this trash talkin stuff, Senoir. Ya see, while your smack piece was basic 'New York Style Facial', my reply trashin was 'Dartmouth Suttle' return fire smack. It needs a little deeper look, and flys over some doughball smackers. But still in fun for sure!

Tell ya what - I will put up a smack stylin thread where all kinds of it can be explained by the experienced for the novice cracker smackers. laugh

RT you must be from B(as)ston Mass. Can you say M.I.T. lovey? How dare you besmurch the fine name of novice crackers. rolleyes wink Furthermore, tarnish the refined skills of us native Oregonian riparian harvestors. eek

Your scantilly clad version of high smack wreaks of patheticness and desparation. It lacks true "gottcha" challenge.

So go on with you Smack 101 and try to educate the educated with your "Real Talk". Just watch for the busses o'l chap. I hear they have invested in larger tires so that the tracks they leave make a Real Tramatice mark. laugh laugh wink :p
