Write up today in the local newspaper says there's a group that is attacking the WDFW and they will likely be lifting the bait ban on the EF of the lewis. JUST AS I FIGURED!!

I don't get the newspaper here so if anyone has read the article please let me know what it says...

Good news! Good news! I'll have to go find the article.

BTW, do you ever check your e-mail anymore?

From the thursdays Columbain:
"The Department of Fish and Wildlife is expected to announce soon an emergency rule reversing the bait ban, which was enacted partially by mistake."

Partially by mistake? Where can I tell the WDFW to stick it?

Edit: Sorry, I don't want anyone to take that in the wrong way, because not all WDFW programs are bad/suck/whatever. It's just frustration finding a way to escape. Is there a way/place to send letters of support for lifting the bait regulation?

I hope so... And is there a group responsible for helping getting it lifted?? If so, I'll join...

The paper also said that along with the bait ban you are limited to lures and flies with single barbless hooks. Anybody no if the single barbless hooks part is correct?

Yeah, it's correct... For now.. But likely if they lift the bait ban, they will stick with the barbless hooks... Oh well, just keep a tighter line I guess... wink

4Salt,
Yeah, I'm not one that has ever got a violation before but when you take a lifestyle from me for no reason.. I guess there was reasoning for a first time.. But hopefully everything goes smoothly and the ban is lifted ASAP.. I don't plan to fish the EF until May 20th or say anyhow.
