I am going to take a trip up to Portland sometime, not sure when yet, but where can I go fishing around Portland?

What type of fish? Any. =)

Check out Ifish.net, there is usually quite a bit of discussion on fishing near Portland.

JIP,.........Have to have some idea of when you are going to be here. As in your area, different times of the year means different activity. We have spring and fall salmon fisheries,the sturgeon fishing is good most of the time.yYou can fish for keepers or what the guys call oversize. These biggies have to be released. How about a 8 to 12 footer? If you come during the summer July thru Laborday, I highly recommend a 90 mile drive to the mouth of the Columbia for what we call Bouy 10 fishing. This, in my opinion, is the among hottest salmon fishing you will find. It is very very good. No heavy weight with sinker release like outside the Golden Gate.
Lots of fish and by most standards fairly cheap on the wallet. If you tell the board when you coming you will have lots of suggestions.
