Did anyone buy gas at the Shell station in Gold Bar recently and have there car or boat quit running shortly after?

LT,I ran into a friend of mine out in front of the hardware store in Sultan on Sun.He was changing his boat's spark plugs and saying some very unhappy things about the Chevron in Sultan.He said his motor started missing and running rough,he drained the Chevron gas and said it was "milky".I was also curious if anyone else had hit the same problem with Chevron?

I had one of those beef and bean burritos up there last week. I haven't stopped farting since. oh, what, wrong kind of gas, nevermind. :p

I heard those burittos were high octane.I hope it didn't milk out on ya.

Had same problem with a tamk of shell here in Portland. Operators were very good people and dropped the tank and flushed it. No charge to me as was their contention they had gotten a delivery that had water in it.

i know it may sound funny but i notice a huge difference when i use high octane gas from texeco. it seems like my boat, and car for that matter, don't do nearly as well with anything else. i mentioned this to a mechanic and he told me you can buy much better gasfrom car stores like schuck's or napa and that the dfference would be unreal, only problem is it may cost 4 bucks a gallon. may be worth it to help clean out your system. who knows?

Check your owners manual for the correct gas to use in your boat motors. We went hali fishing at 36-30 which is about 7 miles out in the straits. Then after we got out there the motor would barely run with sputtering & stalling. We thought we had bad gas. When we checked the manual it said do not use the methynol added gas. After we drained it & refilled up it ran fine. If you have water in your gas try an additive that helps called HEET.

Knopfish, HEET is Alcohol, which is what methynol.
I work at a boat repair shop and I love it when you guys use HEET!

Just look at the pump before you "stick it in". If there is a sticker on the pump that says "contains 10% ethanol or methanol" Get the hell out of there! You are just asking for trouble.

DOH! I've never used it in the boat but thought it might work. Thats what I get for thinking. Thanx for the warning.
