I've learned an incredible amount from this board and it's members. From how to tie an egg loop, how to rig pink worms, what type of drift boat to purchase and these are just a few examples. Being fairly new to steelheading this board has increased my limited knowledge of Steelhead fishing by years.

This board has been a great venue for me to learn more on how different people feel about the fish that we all enjoy. It is apparent to me that everyone that takes the time to add to any of the topics, especially the political issues concerning fish management and the 4 H's, truly loves the fish. I don't mean that they love TO fish; I mean they love THE fish. What's disturbing is how little consensus there is on issues. The bell shape curve for possible remedies for any one fish problem is almost a flat line, which when combined with some major doses of tunnel vision, results in little possibility of the recreational fisher ever having any impact on helping the fish they dedicate most of their free time to. That being said, this is a pretty good forum to learn not only how to tie a few new presentations, but also how to try to do your part in helping the fish you love.
