Im thinking about buying a Lamiglass Certified Pro rod from Sportco. These have a lifetime warranty?? Also how is sprotco with their warranty's? For the Lamiglas rod, do you have to deal direct with Sportco or Lamiglas? Can anyone tell me of good or bad experiences with both the rod and sportco and or Lamiglas dealing with this? Im thinking about getting the X 86 MTC-T for fighting Chums / Kings. I already have a heavier rod if needed, but Iwant something that is still decent strength with good sensitivity. Im only going to be drifting with this so I dont need anything longer really.

Thanks.

I know Lamiglas is great with their warranties. I do think that if you tried a longer rod - even if you only drift - you will never go back to the shorter ones.

The log rods have better line control, more forgivness and easier to make long casts. Try it you will like it. I know Clancy Holt, Bill Herzog and many other experts choose the longer rods - even for drifting.

Anyone have any opinion on the X 96 JC-T ? I wonder if I should start a new topic on this one? Not much response on the warranty topic.

Sportco has been great to deal with!! I've purchased alot of Lamiglas rods over the years from a number of local shops, and hands down they are the best on returns. Bill Herzog works in thier fishing dept. and he knows what its like to be without your fav. stick while the fish are in. He has taken a tip off a NEW cert. pro rod matched to my old butt section and sent me on my way, no questions asked........brother it don't get any better than that! As for the 8.5' rod its up to you, but I mostly fish with 9 or 9.5' rods now. The added leverage and line control of that extra length makes a big difference drift fishing or otherwise. Hey, go give Sportco a shot, and no I don't work for them......... cool

I have purchased a couple of Certified Pro's from Sportco, and last year I broke one of them a month after I got it. I went down to sportco and they took care of me on the spot, a new tip from the floor didn't match that well so they gave me a brand new rod. I would purchase from them again.

I have returned 2 broken rods in past 2 months, received new rods within a week. 1 of the rods was a 9'2" Titanium in 2 pieces(ouch).
Sportco is a great place to shop and return merchandise that is defective or under warranty.
