went out today to take a look and maybe get a few casts in...just as i suspected, everything blown to hell, check one last spot...a big 90 degree corner with a creek entering from the back, which created about 50 square yards of wonderfully slackish water which contained no color, no mud or silt, fresh silvers were packed in there, rolling around, getting all that silt and crap out of their gills...it's always good to have a few spots that can be fished no matter what mother nature throws at you

That's one of my favorite rivers. And that's also my go-to method of fishing it. Gotta have some of those in your vest.
