Don't count this guy out. Griffey has put hall of fame numbers up with out even trying. He was the most physically talented player in baseball. We are talking about a guy that wouldn't work out during the off sesaon, wouldn't stretch, and would go out and hit 50 home runs a season, bat 300, play gold glove defense, and reached 400 home runs faster than any player in history. He has learned a couple of hard lessons since he was traded to Cincinatti. 1 he has learned humilty (I personaly never had a problem with the best player in baseball being a little on the cocky side, he could back it up), 2 he has learned that he needs to take care of himself.
In short Griffey is a BASEBALL GOD and we were all lucky to be able to watch him on a day to day basis. That article mentioned that some were wondering if Griffey even belonged in the Hall of Fame. What a bunch of crap!!! Like him or not you can't deny his talent and what he has done in his career. I know that the M's were a better team after they traded him. Now that he has learned some humility, and some work ethic, I would love to have him back!!! How quickly we forget that Ken Griffey JR is the first true superstar Seattle has ever had in any sport!!!
