Just curious if anybody could put up a link to steelhead counts on the Cow.
I would like to se a month to month comparison to last year if possible.
I mentioned in one of the other posts that I read that counts were only down by 40-50 fish from last year. This was last Fri,that I read it.
Curious if this is true,or if the author of the article was misinformed.
Would appreciate any help guys.

If you want to see what is caught at the fish traps at the Barrier Dam you can get Tacoma's weekly "Cowlitz Fish Report" at http://www.ci.tacoma.wa.us/tpunews/fishreport.htm

This should tell you and any one else what is being caught at fish trap at the Barrier Dam each week!

These counts do not reflect what the sport catch is; they only reflect what the counts were that passed over the Barrier Dam each week.

I have no idea who has the actual sport caught counts available so that you can download that information. Maybe someone else can give you that site link. I known that the WDFW does have people counting sport caught fish at the Cowlitz each day, but I don't known how to get that information off the net.

Hope that this will help you out. Happy New Year,

Cowlitzfisherman
