Whoa, this isn't Forks either
Fished the Sky yesterday for about 2/3 of day. Water was a tad high and had a little color early, but really wasn't in too bad of shape.
With the coastal rivers blown from the rains, we moved our Snoopy Rod tournament to the other side of the sound and I hung around for a day to do a little fishing on the Sky ... some of my old stomping grounds.
Got a chance to fish with a couple of the fellas from Three Rivers Marine ... had the pleasure of hopping aboard Dave Lee's boat. I think ReiterRat wa still asleep ... too pooped from snoopin' it the day before
We pounded it awfully hard, five pretty good sticks going all morning long. I managed to hook one fish late in the morning and that was all that we touched ourselves. My epic battle lasted all of about three seconds before I crackered it off
Talked to an awful lot of people and no fisheys ... had a good time and got to experience some great sled jockeying ... way better than Dad and I could ever muster back in the days we had one
But I got to see the reports of lack of fish firsthand and even got to fall victim to the poor run myself.
Back home now, we hope we'll be a little more blessed from the Fish Gods on this side over the next few days!
