Yes that is the wreck. It above the high tide line so you will see it if you look.

I don't think i've ever caught a blackmouth any where near the shipwreak except when the silvers are running might be some early kings though. I've normaly fished around hat island
and done ok but I fish no deeper then 70 ft.

good luck and tell us how you do

Your best bet in 8-2 will probably be around Hat Island. You can fish the south end and the bar between Hat and Camano. Fish anywhere from 70 out to 150' deep. The area has been very good some days and very poor others. You can also fish over by Columbia Beach starting just south of the Clinton ferry terminal and going toward Possession Point. In any of these areas the key will be finding bait. If you find it the odds are good you can get a fish. All the normal gear works ie: Coyote spoons, squid and bait.

i have gotten fish on the southeast side, and the north side by the bar that runs from hat to camano. i fish from 80 to 130 feet of water. i get most my fish on coyote spoons 3.5 and 4 inch green glows, and coho killers, both behind a dodger. good luck

That actualy gives me quite a bit to go on, I have to admit tho, I was having a hard time finding hat Island, My softcharts have it listed as gedney Isl. beathead beathead
Found it tho, and I think I may run up that way Sat morning Early,
HH and S13 on the bar north of hat Is is one side better than the other on any particular tide?

From the middle of the outgoing to ebb slack I've had better luck closer to camano head on the west side of the bar. Try to keep at least one of your setups at 75ft. Good luck!
