I was wondering what kind of spoons or spinners to use on the Sammamish River (slough) this summer for trout. It is open from Lake Sammamish to 68th Ave. Ne. WHere is 68th Ave anyway? It is selective gear fishing only and closed to steelhead fishing. frown I can either use any 1 of my trout rods or my 9' Loomis 1083S, which one do u think would be better? Keep the tips comin' guys, Thanks alot!! slap fishy

fisherman i think 68th ave is the bridge in kenmore were the boat launch is now for the rods i would use your trout rods with any small spinners like mepps blue fox dick nites up by marymoore park there a lot of small mouth bass up there i would fly fish in the evening with small floating flys i use to fish that river all the time when i was a kid. there use to be alot of big trout in that ditch.

Try the mouth of Bear Creek. There will be some cold water flowing in from here and many different nymphs. Be CAreful not to catch a salmon when September comes around as these fish are pretty stressed in this shallow river.

I fished the boat dock across from the non-leashed area of Marymoore everyday one summer two years back. I had some luck with a Mepps. I've gotten a couple Smallies but not much more

kill any bass that you catch! they are smolt eating machines and every creek or river that the slough serves is already closed
