Well yesterday my son's and I went down to check out the boat launch at Rainer Beach... to see what the crowd was like... When we pulled around to the launch and we saw the following... A guy trying to pull his boat out with a Honda Odyssey... he had hooked the boat to the trailer and was driving forward... when he started getting helpfull advice from the dock... So he stopped started to back up, then forward and then back when... he hits the gas... and he was in to deep... I hope when I make mistakes nobody had a digital camera ready... http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/uploads/UP2824.jpg http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/uploads/UP2825.jpg Tight Lines and Shoot Straight!

Mix up them Renton folks with the lake and it's never pretty.
Just so everyone is clear, They should put a sign up at that launch that reads "The boats go in the water, the automobiles stay on land"
Ok, I may get it for bashing Renton people but I couldnt help it, no offense!

Speaking of minivans.... I got a perverse sense of satisfaction watching a lift-kit, big tire, harley decal-wearing GM pickup with glass-packs swim for its life when it he-man owner decided to have lunch and a nap at the bottom of the Ship Creek launch in Anchorage. I've never seen a tide come in so fast. The tide looked like it was coming in a foot every 3 minutes. Why do they call those tires 'mudders' when they just ball up with tidal mud?

Oh, and Osama loves your SUV. [/b]Actually my Samurai gets 30 MPG and my wife's XL-7 gets 23 MPG and I'll take or have taken either of them or my F-150 Ext Cab 4x4 places you couldn't take your Mini Van looking for Idiots from the I-5 Corrider trying to get their "Wilderness Experience" up here on the Olympic Peninsula.

Yep, Easy and Duro... you guys are right! The boat was attached to the trailer... When the tow truck got there the guy got to go swimming to unhook boat from the trailer... then they tied a couple of ropes to the trailer and unhooked it from the van, before the tow truck would start to tow the van out... The one thing that suprised me was that the tow truck guy didn't have them open the doors until he got the van out of the water... it would have been lighter and easier to pull the van out with all the doors open.... It was a good show!
