The name was given to me by my fishing buddies when my beard and hair got a little long and wooly. There was a SLIGHT resemblance to the dead one. I was a hippie when younger but never a deadhead.

I'm a junior "Bob" named 35 years ago by Ma and Pa.

I figured since it was "my board" and I needed some to know it was me for sure ... I'd simply be Bob

On the few other boards I post on, I'm steeliebob ... me and my fave fish

On a side note:
In the mechanical engineering field there is an term for the volume of hot air moving thru a section of ductwork... that term is "Cubic Feet per Minute" or otherwise abreviated "CFM"

Hopefully this will shed a little light on a certain persons nickname on this board.

A fishing buddy of mine always asks me if I'm "down for pound." Of course, I'm always down to go pound fish. I thought it might be a pretty cool nickname.

Fishingking00 is slightly related to my compulsive and irresponsibe behavior I exhbit when I have a fishing trip on my brain.

There used to be a board member called 'Hey Y'all (who has disappeared) -- anyway he called all 'lurkers' damned buzzards!!' So when I registered I was going to use 'ol buzzard' -- but my wife and Reiter Rat said it was too degrading...... Consequently I picked an innocuous little creature that lives in creeks and streams --'The Perriwinkle, (well it is original).. As a kid I used to pick them off rock, peel off the rock shell and use them for trout bait..

Mine is from the fact that I'm part Norsky. My grandfather was a full blooded Norsky who took me fishing when I was a kid. Lot's of fond memories

I have been told I smell like FishGuts or sometimes people would just point at my shirt or pants and say "Gross, FishGuts" . Thats too hard to type so I just shortened it.

Because, I live to be fishing on the river!
