That looks like the perfect boat for much of the local saltwater fishing, and I only hear good things about Duraboats.

Wish I was prepared to buy now! Bet you will have a lot of people are interested when you do decide to sell.

Make sure you want to sell all the goodies before you advertise them. The cost of replacing life jackets, downrigges, cooler, black box, etc.. may be much more than the value added to sale of your current boat and are items you may wish to have on your new boat.

Last fall I sold a 14' 1991 Crestliner with a 20" transom that was pretty deep with flat floors and storage seats, with a ez loader with buddies, 96 25hp long shafr merc manual start, 2 cannon ez trol downriggers, eagle sounder, 2 anchors, and a transom mount minkota, rod holders, fish on seats, fire extinguisher for 3500.00. Sold pretty quick so I may have been under priced a hair. I kept the PFDs and the deep cycle battery, all my nets and fishing gear and all my ropes and coolers that are now in use on my new boat. Save alot of time and I don't think those items would have added that much to the price I got for the boat.
Good luck with the new ride!

Baddawg,

That wouldn't have been the "Dawg Fish" by chance...

Sounds just like the boat a friend of mine bought...

Baddawg,
Do you know what the height is of your sea ranger is to the top of the windshield when its of the trailer?? Im debating over a couple differant boats and whatever I decide on has to fit in my garage. Im pretty sure a 16' sea explorer will fit but im not sure about the sea ranger. Also what about overall lenth on the trailer if you know??

Piper, thats the boat. Had it for over ten years and bonked my share of fish in that boat! Just got alittle tired of the low seats and not being able to stand much, getting alittle to old for sitting in the rain all day running the tiller.

Duroboat- I don't have the exact height of the boat with the top down. I keep mine in one of those costco white nylon tents. It has 8' walls and I had to raise it about 1' to be able to get it in with the canvas up. I will try to remeber to measure it from the windshield tonight and let you know what height it is. The length is about 20' with the motor and tounge of the trailer.

Thanks Baddawg,
One other question for you. Do you know if all sea rangers are 8' wide or are the older ones narrower?

Small world, isn't it baddawg...

That is a really nice boat. You took care of it well. beer

I had the chance to fish out of it once and boated a real nice silver to boot.

Little birdy told me it may be on the market again soon... just a rumor now...

as far as I know the Sea Rangers and Sea chasers are all 8 ft. Mine is a 94 and it is 8'. You get narrower in the explorer in the 16ft (7'6") and the Sprint and seahunter 15' (7'2") length. All the 17,19 and 21 are 8' and the 22' is 8'6".

Thanks for the info Baddawg. Sense my garage door is only 8' wide I dont think I will be putting a sea ranger in there.(Hum crisco on the door jambs) I guess Id better look for a sea explorer if I decide to get an arima.

the width is tough on the ol garage but boy it sure is nice on the water. You won't win many boat races with an arima, but they are as stable to fish in as any boat around and it is nice to walk around in moose (not to tippy).
