My 12 year old son and I have Sunday set aside to do some fishing. Has anybody been there in the last couple of days? I did a scouting trip last weekend and saw a couple of chum in the Creek itself and a couple of jumpers out front.

As always, any help is appreciated.

Where are you and Chico planning to fish? Hope you have a good day. Vote Sharpton in 04.

Grab your 2 1/2 inch buzz bomb and 3/0 treble hook. Though if you want to catch more fish than most people can snag use a lime green jig. The darkies are in! Ah but there good for the smoker? Be careful some people get there panties in an uproar over them dark chums. So many fish so little room. Why cant they taste like a silver and still have the fight of a chum.

I was out on the bay at Chico Creek today, and fish were everywhere.

I can't speak for the gang at the mouth, but on the bay itself, there were throngs of fish.

Unfortuantely, my buddy and I threw just about everything at them, and they snubbed us. It seemed that fishing was tough for everyone, but the skilled folks did seem to get one, anyway.

Throw a bobber and herring out in a school of fish and count to ten, then set the hook. Use the small herring.

I emailed you my number just in case.

Looks like getting wet is the order of the day but havent seen any snow.

Wooly,
Those fish over at chico creek are plumb harassed out of there gourds.Getting a fish to bite after it has been chased around a tidal flat for days,at low tide is a fantasy.Take of the blinders off and look around you!Find some fish that the snag squad hasn't harassed out of there gourds! They were right behind you all day yesterday!!!!!!

1) we were fishing unharrassed fish, we varied from 1 mile to about a 1/4 mile from the folks at the mouth. I was in a boat.

2) We did use bobbers and herring, small herring, and they were the middle of the pods. The fish were off the bite, and were biting on Friday.

count to ten then set the hook? those words are the true words of a SNAGGER! i take it you were trying to make people fit in with the rest of the crowd.

Ok goober, I would like to see you try to snag fish with bobber and herring. I am willing to bet that is partly to mostly infrickingpossible!.

So sue me I exaggerated a little bit! But no joke I have had them days when the chum didnt even let the weight of the herring take the slack out of the line between the bobber.

I have never had a day when they wouldnt take a herring under a float.

Do you take everybody so literally when they speak? Or do you just have something against bass.

As for the rest of the crowd I hear you fit in just fine. Anything to get them hens eh.

Jackson and I had a good time with LtlCLEO this morning. Hooked a couple of fish but they were too smart and got away. We had never fished herring under a float before and it was pretty cool. It does seem like bonefishing on the flats, when the fish hit - they just go flat out.

LtlCLEO, thanks so much for your hospitatility and your fellowship. I wish the weather was a little warmer, it was pretty tough out there.

Jackson says that Bear was cool!!!!! thumbs

Chico is one of my favorit places to fish. I lived in silverdale, only about a ten minute ride form my house. My brother and I would often play hooky from highshcool to go to chico and fish. You almost have to inorder to avoid the crowd. Fish it early in the morning Monday thorugh Friday. The fish get real thick. Amazing it is, I feel as lewis and clark did, you could walk across their backs. The fishing is usually the best from the 14 to 21. The fish are so turned they are worthless to keep though, but a lot of fun. If you know anything about flyfishing use a green fly. Or float a green gig under a bobber.

Question: is the other creek that you guys are talking about in shelton, because one of the creeks out there gets a great run of chums too.

Neil, I don't feel comfortable telling you where we were as it was LtlCLEO who turned us on to it. It was not in Shelton though, I can tell you that.
