Commissioners also declined to take action on several proposals, including one to ban treble hooks in saltwater fisheries  whooo hoooo Their not gonna make a lawbreaker of me after all!

Feather, the problem is how is a stock deemed to have a healthy return? Remember, escapement (as defined by WDFW) is the number remaining after Maximum Sustained Harvest. I think I will err on the side of caution.

they also outlawed spearfishing for rockfish, some spear divers are worse than the "native americans' when it comes to that.

I totally aggree with you FJ15... Enforcement and/or localized bans are the key! not a flat-out ban in saltwater... thats just punishing the law abiding fishers.

And also, you will no longer be able to fully remove wild steelhead from the water All in all, today will go down in history as the day the wild fish won!!  I am going to go throw down a couple Mack & Jacks at a local drinking establishment to celebrate...and maybe shed a tear or two. Life is good!
