'noid,

You've got a therapist without a 'tude?
Come on man, cut loose ! You know darn well there's a few of us on the board here (not to mention on the Cowabunga) who could really use a good one.

PS,
And don't even think of giving us the ol' line,

back bouncing small (dime size or less) EGGS w/3 color yarn w/ shrimp oil on 3' leader with just enough lead to have it peep on bottom behind the boat or jig & a bobber 1/4 oz head, #4 hook, pink or black & pink w/white head...

no big secrets on the cowlitz, the guy was just being or feeling smug with himself...

Paranoid, you're right and I am wrong I just went back and read your original post and thought more out of what was going on. My appologies, the only thing I do have to clarify is that I don't leave garbage on the riviera but I do appreciate the help if I ever do need it on the river, so tight lines and good luck.

If they were at the the big rock on the clay bank side the fish like to stack up there. My guess is that it was a small red corkie and orange yarn with shrimp oil on it on a 8 foot leader. There are some real aholes down there right now that think they know how to fish just keep trying and your day will come.

Dont sweat it, the guy is just a dink. He has a secret....ohhhhhh.....a big secret. Gimme a break. Lots of that mentality among fishermen though and the more I think about it the stranger it seems. Its not like he was protecting the patent on a new cure for cancer or the winning numbers for the mega-millons lottery. Its just fish in a crowded non-zipperlip hole.

It's more rewarding when you find a combination that works on your own, keep fishing it and you are bound to do well. A lot of fishing success is being confident in your presentation. Don't get psyched out because others are catching fish and you aren't.

color combinations and such change so often that I feel this guy is simply goofy about being zipper-lipped. Like he's figured out how to fish with "cold fusion" or somthing. Paranoid, there are people in this world that simply are not worth the time...I think this primadonna is one of those people. Forget about that "goof" and fish on.

Must be at the right place at the right time.
No secrets.
I use the same setup every trip.
Some days I don't have much luck.
Some days I hook them and loose them all.
And some days I bang em and land them no more than 3 casts.

I've seen eggs out fish shrimp.
I've seen shrimp out fish eggs.
I've seen all colors of corkies catch fish.

Just stick to your favorite rigs and keep on casting. The main thing is your confidence and concentration.
