When I use hoochies I put the hoochie back two and a half times the length of the flasher. When using spoons I go three times the length of the flasher. I know my measurements go against conventional wisdom (Salmon University) but it works. I like to troll pretty fast (2-3 MPH) too.
I usually put out 30-40 feet of line before I connect the line to the release clip.
I don't use my black box when fishing for migrating fish. I only use the BB for blackmouth. My 'riggers are manuals.

The 'rigger mounts that I have are available at Sportco. I forget who makes them but they are a universal mount. The 'rigger base bolts on to a 90 degree piece of metal then that piece slides in to another piece that is bolted on to the side of the boat with six stainless screws. The side of the boat will have to break before the 'rigger mount will. Very strong.
Maybe Winterun can chime in here with the brand name of the 'rigger mount.

I have the same set up as you do wabowhunter. I have been fishing Redondo with it for four years now. Sometimes I fish alone sometimes I have a fishing buddy. Usually, when fishing in the afternoon, I am by myself. I just happen to have the girlfriend with me this last time. Landing a 20# king is a little bit more fun when you are by yourself though. After two or three big fish you learn how to use the net in one hand and rod in the other hand.
