How much do tides effect the Elliott bay fishery?? I want to head down Sat morning but saw there was pretty big tide swings that morning. Any idea how much it effects the fishery??

I don't like to fish at all when there is nearly 14' of water moving. I'm going to wait till afternoon on Saturday and fish the evening high tide.

From what I have learned big tidal changes tend to make fish take cover, and/or head for deeper water to avoid the currents.
I would be fishing Elliott bay this weekend if I could, and if I were out there I would go deep for them, like 60-80 at first light, then down to 140+ once the tide gets moving .

A big incoming would probably result in a fresh push of fish on that incoming high tide.

With this weekends tides fishing would probably be best at first light, and an hour each side of the high tide occurring at 6:57pm.
