Hit the bubble Friday crack o dawn and landed a very nice 32# king. Fished until 10 or so and hit one other shaker. At least 100 boats out and did not actually see another fish caught although I am sure they picked up a few. Heard it was hot last weekend, saw a picture of the 40lb'r caught on the 23rd. Nets must of scooped em up and left only a few for Friday. Did anyone go out sat/sun? More fish around?

We picked up about a 15lb buck. The others that we saw caught seemed to be about the same size. We fished for 5 hours or so and saw about 5 or so caught. Not exactly red not.

Went out Sunday. SLOW. Saw two fish caught. We ended up jigging and got one nice fish in the boat. Caught a dog fish at 80 feet on a hootchie in 120 feet of water. Buddy said Friday and Saturday appeared just as slow. Maybe the big tides have something to do with it?

Fished two to three hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday and this morning. Saw a couple caught Friday... none for me. More action (shakers and jellyfish) on Saturday but no fish in our boat. Really dead on Sunday... no action experienced or seen. Hooked a nice one this morning at 7:45 am on a green/green flasher/squid but lost it trying to net it by myself at the boat. A guy on the water this morning said he'd heard that there had been quite a bit of action Sunday evening jigging at the mouth of the bay. I won't be out at the bubble again for a couple of weeks. Please post if things heat up out there.

I fished with one other guy on Sat. morning, i went 0 for 3, all fish lost at the boat. One of them was in the neighborhood af 40 lbs. (the one that got away story) Saw another boat with 2 guys land 3. Other guy didn't hook any. Went again on Sunday afternoon at 3:00. Got one in the boat within 5 minutes of starting, a smallish one then aobut an hour later I landed a 27# bronze buck. Sunday night was hot fishing, I think everyone anywhere near me got one. I saw at least 20-30 fish hooked, with the boat pressure relatively light. All my time was spent jigging but on Sun. night the trollers tore them up.

I went out on Sunday and went 2 fer 3. The first one was just before sunrise on a glow/white silver horde @ 25'. I managed to beat it off my hook with the net...doh!. The next one was bonked and weighed about 8-10 lbs and came at around 10 am trolling a dodger/hootchie combo with herring strip @ 35'. The same setup and depth nailed the last fish around 1:00 pm and weighed in at just over 20 lbs. This was one the better days I've had at the bubble in quite a while. Ya gotta pay yur dues...
