Went out with my son,a good friend of mine that has forgotten more about salmon fishing then I will ever know and my daughter for her very first King Salmon fishing trip. 5:30 Take down and my daughter started reeling.....after about 40 ft of line reeled in the reel breaks off the pole....I grab the pole and she holds onto the reel my buddy grabs the line and polls on it while she is reeling...we finally get the fish to the surface and couldn't believe how big this King was...We are so lucky it didn't run and surprisingly we got it netted and landed it by 5:45. God gave us a small blessing with a 20lb king in the cooler and a huge one with the memories of my daughters first king.

you wont believe this the same thing happened out on the point there three years ago..except the real went bloop in the salt had to hand line it back up start realling we did get the fish also funny now not so funny then.

I got some pictures of the fish and my daughter holding it but not the reel nor the torn metal cleat holders on the rod. Cool that you got your fish in too!

5:30 pm...78ft down green glow flasher 30ft off ball, full herring with a flourescent green nose guard. 600 ft of water strait out from the pt. Good Luck...!!

That's sweet must have been a darn good buddy that was running the boat sounds like he should be a guide he probably fishes out of a north river too congratulations on the fish did you see the beautiful sunset out there !!!

I got some great pictures of the Sunset...a little blurry because the boat was going to fast to hold the camera steady. I hope my buddy does open up a guide service because he will be one of the few people that I know that actually earns a living doing what he loves to do and is great at it.
