Planning a trip to forks this weekend. Any reports? Would it be worth my time and effort. Any help would be much appreciated.

It's probably too early but do you guys anticipate fall Kings will start to push into the Hoh after the rain that we're expecting this weekend.

You're better off elsewhere. The Hoh glacier has been pukeing terminal morain for a month or so (a couple of inchs vis at best). The freezing elevation needs to drop before you can expect visibility to improve.

P.S. You won't see fall Kings in the Hoh until October.

Dont let this stop you from going fishing out thier this weekend, last time it rained like they are saying it is going to again, it was the best three days of fishing that I have seen since last fall. The Sol Duc is the place to be on saturday, or the Quillute. There will be another huge push of fish moving in when that water comes up.

it was outish today but i did see boats on it...

...any more rain and it'll push out I think...

..its worth the risk though because as I've said before there are other opportunities close by.

Another thing to consider...

...in the fall, when the hoh is out down low, the higher you go the better the chance it will be fishable. Go real high up and you might find some of the most fantastic summer run fishing anywhere...

...but I ain't telling exactly where...

ixnay onay ethay ogusbay info enthay............................................................................okay?

"...but I ain't telling exactly where..."

The hoh isn't a zipper lip. The upper river is not a zipperlip. When a guy spends a month planning a trip to the Forks area, especially one who lives more than a few hours a way, he doesn't need some (guy), also not from the Forks area, telling him to stay home so he can have the river one less person to himself.

If he's a smart guy all he needs is to be pointed in the right direction. I think my posts do a good job of pointing without giving away the farm. If you don't like it....tough grit.

It's not funny when you are the guy being misled.

First you told him the river was out when it was in, then you told him the chinook don't come in til October...

...no smilies, no icons, nothing to indicate you were joking.

Not funny, in fact its closer to an out and out lie than anything else. If that's how you want to participate on this board (by lying) then I am going to call you on it.

If that makes me sensitive, so be it. I prefer to think it makes me a source of reliable information, the same thing certainly cannot be said for yourself.

Good day

Take a chill pill ma-man. First of all I wish to miss-lead no one. Hopefully my previous reports are testimony to that. If I post some bad information that you are privy to in the future I would greatly appreciate it if you corrected me, as long as it's not in an attack.

For the record, the information I posted on the condition of the Hoh was relayed to me verbatem from guess who, a reputable local guide. I'll not drop names, but if you wish to carry on with the dispute over it's condition back when this transpired I'll be happy to put the two of you in touch so the two of you can argue about it. I was mearly trying to be helpfull. And, the last several years, the "big push" of fall kings have not entered the Hoh until the heavy rains in October. Sure, there are a few kings around in September, but save the fall racehorses they are predominately late summer fish. That's been my experience. Again, If I'm wrong, please say so, that's what this board is all about.

As far as the "iksnay on the high Hoh infomay," everyone knows the Hoh is not a zipperlip river, thats why it was funny. I was driving your point home.

Lastly, I want to say I PM'd you exactly what I have just written because this BS doesn't need to be shared with the entire world. It came back as undeliverable because there is an apparent problem with your email address.

that would be an email, not a pm.

if you don't know what you are talking about its better not to say anything at all, that way you don't look like a boob for posting inaccurate, or worse yet, FALSE information.

I've tried to be as polite as I know how to be, but apparently this one will be resolved in person down the road.

"Again, if I'm wrong, please say so, that's what this board is all about."

Isn't that what he did? So now you want to deal with Your guys' issue in person down the road. What does that mean?

Grow up.
