Couldn't help it, all in good humor, sounds like you need a walk out rather than a take out, hope you find your kayak,

Unityrise:

You got a great attitude, and I'm glad you understand their sense of humor. In all honesty, this is the best bunch on the web, and if your ever in trouble on the river these are the kind of guys one hopes will be in the area cause they are sure to help a brother in need.

B-Run: Did a week of camping at Cottonwood Cove on lake Mead back in 1988...had pretty much the list of condiments you suggest, but added a few bags of Nacho Cheese Doritos and a loaf of bread. (Along with fishing gear, of course, and a 16' Glaspar tri-hull..:-)

Seems odd I survived that week. When I got to the dock, there was the ugliest woman this side of hell waiting on the dock. Dang good thing I didn't know her and she was waiting for her "boyfriend" to come back in.

Hey B Run,
What kinda boat were you using on the Middle Fork? Can it be done in a drift boat? I ran the canyon on the Main Salmon years ago and would love to go back. Saw a lot of inflatable "tupperware" that were traveling with the guided trips with huge rafts to carry the food and gear. We were on our own with two rafts and my drift boat. Wonderful experience that my kids will never forget.

I'm surprised no-one has suggested posting a sign at the various takeouts. A 50 buck reward poster might net you a quick surprise. Put one up at the Lewis street ramp, The Snohomish ramp, the Langus park ramp, and the Everett ramp, and you might be surprised. I'll keep my eye peeled.

We run rafts and larger cat boats on the middle fork Salmon. I know people who have taken drift boats down it, and there is an outfitter who runs groups of them down. However, he only runs a section and flys the boats back up the river. As it is in the Frank Church wilderness area, there are no roads.. so if you screw up, your drift boats a gonner. It takes several days and is a permit only river. Drawings are held each spring much like a controlled hunt tag. You can run it without a permit before june ( your life is in the balance) and after August ( your boat will get trashed, gets pretty skinny ) But can't think of a cooler place to take a family. Trips are limited to 24 people per permit and they only launch so many a day. Camp sites are assigned at the put in by the forrest service. Several of the camps have hot springs... You get a permit and you will find 23 friends you never knew you had. Its a pack it in / pack it out place and that includes your human waste. Good fishing also.

If you see a Tupper boat you will want to offer them one of your beers because they won't have any..

Hey unity, when your talking good job do you mean like " I work in the Teva dept at REI "... Just ribbin ya and I hope you find your boat.. however, chances are some rednecks have it, already filled it with potting soil and planted flowers in it.
