What are the latest reports, stories and any other thoughts of wisdom from the weekend past? How did everyone fair?

I was busy working at the Fire station, getting some new recruits trained as drivers. All I could do was go down to the Issaquah creek and watch as the fish swim upstream!!!!

I drove over to Dewatto Bay on Hood Canal and saw how nice of a spot it is. Tons of fish in the Dewatto River. No biters though.

New boat is still a couple weeks away so I spent another weekend scoring points with the wife (taking care of the honey-do list)

Sat. Honey-do
Sun. Spent the day with Robbin Rhoades. Fished the area just below the lake under 101 on the quinault. i landed a nice 8lb chromer. Then we fished all the way to the new slide. looking for some more color. And was there color....but there were no new fish in there..HMMMM The other boats doing the same as us so we decided to run up to the salmon. same thing....All the fish were dark and were released... so we went back to try the late bite under 101 again... ZIP...... All that rain you would think the rivers would be full of fresh fish......But just being there was worth it all......

Coho....So you're the guy that took the spot I was offered? I took too long to decide and it sounds like a good thing. I fished the Snohomish for free on someone else's boat so I saved $500 and got skunked right close to home.

During my 3 day weekend i landed 9 silvers in the green ranging from chromers to spawners. I also landed a native summer runs steelhead, which was about 12 pounds.

We trolled Bush Pt. Sunday morning for about 3 hours and only found 1 shaker. Not many people fishing this morning low tide, saw a couple fish jump and 3 landed in total for the day by the 6 boats working the area.

I'm tempted to go 1 more time next weekend, and then wait until the Nov. 1st Blackmouth opener in Area 9 before I go again.
