If you are fishing a rag without bait, do you use scent? If so,what is your favorite scent?
I'm also running out of backer rod. I checked both Lowes and Home Depot on Aurora North and they only had the grey. Is there a place in Seattle or on the Eastside that carries the white?

Scented rags are best left in the trash.

If fishing waters open to using scent, I would have to say run with it. Although, if legal to use scent, why not use that nice shrimpie tail section? My fave

The fish really don't care if it's white or gray. Like Bob said the tails are dynomite. Ya never say is it a rock cuz they are hammering it.

I probley over scent my rag's,but who cares.First I put a shrimp tail on then I put a little shrimp smelly jelly on the bottom end of the foam where it meet's the bead.Then I put some pro-cure shrimp oil on the yarn and rag body.This is way over kill but it works great.
