He is a fisherman, he will have an excuse and a lie to get out of it. Probably will be Stam's fault.

To throw a little style at a lame ass responce to a lame ass preformance, I shot a lot of lead in the air shooting my mouth off in the Stamfest Thread, and it had to come down sometime. One of those bullets pinwheeled me yesterday. wink

Brent didn't get sick for sheeyat in my opinion! He actually held out really well until the latter half of the fishing day, during which he seemed a little miserable... On the other hand, I do think that the "first puker" category in the money pool was purposely non existent this year when everyone knew I drank a fifth of Jose and got two hours sleep... beathead

You looked so comfortable when I woke you up though (sleeping in the front seat of his truck).
At least you caught a fish and had one of the better fights out there!

Steve thanks for the great times. I'm still full!

It was great meeting those I haven't before.

Had a great time. The night before was entertaining. Everyone had a good time, ate some really good food, drank a little too much, etc. Pat G. stepped up to the plate and came through for us for the entertainment part. I really hope TBird posts that photo! wink

Fishing was slow on Monday. Less than a fish per person, I believe. Like last year, I didn't touch a fish until it was close to noon and I cracked open that first beer. Once that happened, the fish gods smiled at me and I was rewarded with a small king and nice clipped yoyo.

Bob should change TBird's login name to something like: THurl or CHurl. laugh

I buddied up next to B-RUN and made it until the seas calmed down and were damn near glass smooth. I guess the lack of waves did him in and he started hurling. frown

I owe B-RUN a fish. I promised him one of my fish, but after waiting out in the parking lot for a while, I went home. Yeah, I suck B-RUN. I *promise* I'll make that up for you. I felt bad about that.

Ingrid was gone. In her place was Seagra. What ever you do, don't call her Egrid. She damn near killed me when I called her that. Fortunately, I charmed her a bit (IE kept her away from Sol) and we were buds after that.

In all, a good day on the water with some great people! thumbs Can't wait until next year!

T-bird is just covering for the fact that he SPRAYED like a firehose as we were crossing the bar. Then wretched every 20-30 minutes for the rest of the morning. At one point he was actually the color of his green carhart jacket. It was a rough day for him, but he rallied and hung in like a pro. People took turns keeping his rod in the water for him. After he perked up he walked over, picked up his rod and nailed a nice king!!!
I was skunked as well....
Stam and Erika gave lessons on how it should be done!
Thanks again Steve for setting up a great trip with a great bunch of people. beer

Good times, good times...so many stories could be written or re-written: Pat and the Park Ranger, what NOT to do! Shrek..(Sol's laughing right now). Tequila vs. TBird, he lost!...and on and on...
What a great 24 hours, some great folks out there that I'm glad to put names to faces: Seastrike, Neal, Chad, TBird, No Fish, KK...we had the aft end of the boat covered! I hope to fish with you guys again. Thanks for putting this together Steve, I'm already looking forward to next year and the SRC.

I do have to say, thank you very much to Steve and his entire family who seemed to play a large role in my fun and comfort level! Kudo's on the girls steve, I'd say you did something right, and I now know where you got your good looks from! laugh They were very nice and caring in my time of misery =)

Now I believe a few pictures are in order from the evening... I'll post the pictures with a brief description and let you guys fill in the blanks as I have very little time this morning, but gotta get these pics up =)

Here's a shot of a very weathered Tbird holding a decent little king

And the pictures you all are waiting for:

"I've been drinking and I won't move my truck"

Pat discreetly expresses to me his direct feelings on the local "law enforcement"

standing on the picnic table to get reception to speak with the "lawyer"

An attempt to coax someone off the picnic table to sign a ticket, which was abruptly replied to with a "No, you come here"

I can't even express the fun I had with all of you, and CANNOT wait for next year =) Thanks again to all that played a part in the planning and preperation of this weekend!

Pat G.: "I can't drink tequela. Give me some."
Sol: "Here, have mine, I'll go mix a new one."

Twenty-five minutes later.
Pat G.: "Make me another drink!"
Sol: "Okay."

A half-hour later.
Pat G.: "Make me another drink!"
Sol: "Dude, I'm out of mixer. You're welcome to straight tequela on ice if you like. Booze is in the tool box in my truck."

I follow him over.
Pat G.: "You're not out of mixer, you lieing jackass!"
Sol: "There's barely enough for my last drink."
Pat G.: "GIVE IT TO ME."
Sol: "I'll split it with you, fuc%er."

Sol mixes two 16-ounce drinks full to the top with tequela and a "splash" of mixer. You had to be there to appreciate the following 2 or 3 hours. smile

"Hey Neal, go over there and negotiate for Pat."

"Ok."

Gotta look out after your buddies - who were only "standing up for our rights".

I'm still laughing.

Thank goodness I'm a *smart* lightweight. ;

Sol was *not* a happy camper on the boat for the first few hours. Seriously thought he was going to chunder there for a while.

You were missed Unlce Joe. We needed you. You would have fit in nicely. laugh

I really enjoyed the guy that went over to talk to the rangers with me... John? I forget his name dammit. The damage was long since done and the tickets where written already. Anyway he explained to the ranger "sir my friend Pat is really drunk, but sir he just has a problem with authority.... He's like this when he's sober too!"

I'll be waiting to sign as a witness to Pat's explaination of how it all went. The parking spots were wide, and the grass was already dead!!! Don't they know how to take care of lawns in that park?

laugh

Bucket thanks for the lox as they rocked. I had three bagle/lox/pepper jelly sandwhiches while fishing. They were excellent. Your buddy NOFISH was chowing on them too. I wish I was heading north with him right now!

Pat trying to convince Sol to "back him" was pretty funny. The whole thing was over by that time and Sol said "I'll back ya bro. Just tell me what it is I'm backin".
"You gotta give me somethin here."

I bailed, I paid with food. Glad you enjoyed. The thing about NOFISH is, he'll eat anything. Nice to hear everyone seamed to have a good time. I need to head north too, wait, I am up north just for the wrong reason.

So the Stam clan cleaned up, good job folks!!
