I ain't got no 'sympathy for the devil' (TK )... but I still say let's "Rip this Joint"The Stones! This one might be tough: "I sit in a chair... reflecting back upon my life..."

King's X is progressive guitar-based pop metal from the late 80's king.
That song was a minor FM radio and MTV hit for them. It's from an album called "Faith, Hope, Love". They are also a power trio.
You should see if you can find "It's Love" as a download somewhere and give it a listen.

I was going to answer to "Locomotive Breath" also Slab, but the the very next post is KK's also with the Stones lyrics, so I figured that was the one he wanted us to guess.

"Back on the boardwalk is Moe the sleaze sells good things and aims to please He's almost even but he don't mind a handout"

"Come on down for a pleasure cruise... plenty of women... plenty of booze." Surfer Joe and Moe the Sleaze - Neil Young. Your moniker made that an easy one. "Been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding... the cretins cloning and feeding... and I don't even own a TV." Folks shouldn't even need to google this one! Edit: I messed up a couple of words too... but I fixed 'em.

4Salt,
Thought I'd add a few more lyrics onto your song, not so much as a clue, but because they're funny as hell!
"Put me in the hospital for nerves and then they tried to commit me...you told 'em all I was crazy...they cut of my legs now I'm an amputee Goddamn you!"
Fish on...
Todd

FP - The Procul Harum clue gave it away! "Livin' in the Day of the Eagle... eagle not the dove." Robin Trower. I always thought James Dewar, Robin Trower's bassist / singer had an awesome bluesy voice... somewhat similar to Paul Rodgers. I'll let someone else guess your second song and post lyrics of their own.

"Primus" does the South Park theme song. Are the lyrics from "Fish On"? Sailing the Seas of Cheese... Assuming I'm correct: "Well I don't know but I been told it's hard to run with the weight of gold Other hand, I heard it said it's just as hard with the weight of lead" (I'm thinkin' this one'll be too easy )
