Hmmm. Rod's? Yeah, Ive got a few.. I think I've got around 40 or so. I know a guide here that has over 140. Tell her that you are collecting them to resell when you retire.

I have about 10 or so. I have maybe 6 or 7 reels. I'm the guy on a shoestring budget!

G Loomis IMX STR1084C sees the most steelhead action.

I am a packrat. I have way too many. I am at work and cannot go check the garage, but I have at least 8 set up for salmon fishing from a boat, at least 4 for river fishing salmon/stealhead, 6 or 8 set up for walleye, 1 meat pole, 1 roller tip for halibut, 1 heavy rod for ling, and about 10 spinning rods for trout and pan fish.....so even if I missed a few i have at least one for each day of the month. I guess I better go fishing!!

Just out of curiousity, I went into the garage and started counting, got to 50 and stopped, have more packed away that I would not use, but can't seem to give em up.
I know its pitiful, but we boys must have our toys!

You hear about the guy that had a terrible nightmare-------------- He dreamed he had died and his wife sold his rods and reels for what he said he had paid for them!

I have a baby in my lap now, but without directly counting, I think it's somewhere around 15-16.

Of those, I really put to use the:

1141s
1025c

Others are "specialty" rods that only get used when the rivers and/or techniques dictate that particular type of rod.

I guess I have about 18-20 between my downrigging rods, salmon river rods, walleye rods, spinning rods, sturgeon rods & halibut rods. Could always use a few more though. My wife just rolls her eyes when I say that but she did get me a nice Lamiglas rod at christmas for sturgeon fishing.

I think it's around 16, 5 of which are flyrods. The rest trout or steelhead rods.

Hmm. The ones I can think of off the top of my head:

My B'n'M Buck's Ultimate rod. (My favorite freshwater pole.)

My Big Water Ugly Stik for surfcasting.

My medium Ugly Stik for bass.

My Okuma Connoisseur for salmon and various bottomfish.

My Penn rod for trout.

My fly rod. Forget the brand, but it's a cheapie one.

My Abu baitcaster, backup salmon rod.

Another Abu baitcaster, a noodle rod for river fishing for salmon.

My Silstar bottomfish rod. You could haul up an elephant with this thing.

I don't have a lot compared to everyone else, but I still bring at least two rods with me every time I fish.

Total of 12 rods. Not bad for a kid. Next rod is a lamiglas norwest special for them steelies.

I only have 13 rods....which is still fewer that the 14 clubs my wife carries in her golf bag.

I like telling her, when she finds one club that does it all, I will find one rod that does it all.

Well, I went to have the reels filled today, and realized that my trusty Ambassadeur is missing its Abu baitcasting rod, and remembered that I broke it last year. Only rod I've ever broken. That was a situation that demanded to be rectified, so a W.W.Grigg pole walked out of Sportco with me. Never heard of the company before, but it felt good, and wasn't to expensive. We'll see how it handles on the water.
