Most guys will fish the Tacoma side of the Narrows. Tide swings are ultra important in this area - if you dont hit it at ebb you can pretty much forget about it. Bring lots of gear. Galliping Gurdie grabs lots of tackle.

I don't know what impact the new bridge is having on the area. I have heard some people complain that the construction has disturbed bottom fish in the area.

There is usualy 30 to 45 minutes of fishable current on either side of slack water, sometimes slack high is most productive sometimes slack low. You probably already know that the slacks will follow both max high and max low by 30 + minutes, this lag changes with the velocity of the current,so consult your current chart or table. Like Wully says it's real grabby. I try to have plenty of gear prepared ahead, as it is often a short window.
