Okay, I have just realized that the 31st is a Sunday, which means I'm off that day anyhow.

This might work, I have just signed up for a low fare alert to see if I can get a good deal headed home for a couple of days \:\)

I remember some looonnnggg days at Westport in my youth.....Tried all the variations on nausea medicine from pills to patches to suppositories....the guys on the bow were eating KFC and tossing the skins over the side and then my Dad would ask if I wanted a cup of cold pork gravy with a hair in it....never got rid of the technicolor yawn....

Over the years, I found that Marezine started at least two days before the trip and a pair of wrist bands can help, but not necessarily cure....

Good luck to all the participants.

Also: I've made it two years in a row with Bucket without chummin, been a lake out there both times......what are the odds that the third time will be the charm ;\)

Don't kid yourself. Ingrid can make a sailor blush, and she'll kick your ass if you piss her off. Grab her ass, I dare ya'. \:D

Back on the sea sick thing, my favorite is the "guy" sitting in the cabin on the run out. You have to look hard to see the "guy" because he is a master in diguise. If you're observant you'll notice he's already developed the thousand-yard stare, but he's in denial and is pretending like everything is going to be OK. I look for this "guy" and get as far away from him as possible, because he always does a good deal of colateral damage when he finally blows chow. \:\(

Bob, I hope you can make it, but if you can't, we'll make you proud. ;\)

Not the way you drive, Graham: Forks to Lake Pleasant in 4 minutes flat, followed by a u-turn on Hwy 101 that would make Jim Rockford proud. ;\)

I bet you can do Westport via Seatack from Forks in an hour and a half. In fact I've been passed by Bob, too. With Ball as a co-pilot I bet you can shave some time off the second half of that estimate. \:D

I bet if we all toss in another 10 spot Bob can fly to Westport from Seatac. Then Pat can drive all the way by himself!

Pat- if ya want you can ride down with NOFISH and I. That way you and I can pester him about his OLD LADY driving skills.

I'll retract my offer to Bob, can't stand to let Sol off the hook.

You need anywhere from 100' to 150' sinking tip \:D Plan on some steel leaders for the Blue sharks.

Blue Sharks? Really?

Ok, something else to add to my list of things I want to catch and get a Grip N Grin with!

Other than "Carefully", exactly how does one hold a shark for a Grip N Grin?

Are Blue Sharks good fighters?

OH YEAH

All three of my big Reels (Islanders) have over 300 yards of backing; is that enough?

I'll bring two Nine weights; just in case.

Parker,

Very much good fighters. They are long and sleek and make some good runs. Pretty fish for a pic as well. Long steel leaders as they roll and wrap the line and their skin is abrasive as I am sure you know.

We don't mess with the Blue's---we pop-em off soon as we see them so we can get back after the salmon. \:\)

Mike will move the boat once they find us or they just keep circleing and eating leaders.

Reach up deep inside and grab him by the ba11s, then whisper in his ear "IF you sit still and SMILE pretty for the pic I'll let you go and you can keep the jewels... \:D "

Be sure to get a good grip on his gonads the first try...you may not get another..

If'n ya get ahold of one, I'll be glad to snap the pics if I can a break from the technicolor yawn side of the boat...

Mike
