I am going to be spending a few days out at Ocean Shores with my family over the T-Day holiday. Is there any fishing going on in the area worth bringing my boat over (22' Alumaweld Intruder)? Any decent bottomfishing out of westport if the weather permits going out in the ocean?

Thanks!

Bank fish the hump as your 22'er is a little to big for that river.Good luck,

Check the regs but I had good luck fishing the south submerged jetty this summer. It can be an interesting place to be if it gets rough though so keep a sharp eye.

The jetty, as suggested, is a good spot for bottom fish, tossin 2-4 oz jigs into the rocks on a rising tide. Best to hit at low and fish as it comes up. Kepp your motor running though, and don't leave the helm if the water is the least bit rough.

Another option would be to trailer up and head into Aberdeen and launch there, fishing from 28th street to Cosmopolis. Not many sports fishers in this area, but the tribal netters were killing them this last week. Silvers would be the targeted fish, with trolled plugs, vibraxes, and herring being the bait.
