I know some of you have read this article before. I post it again in hopes that everyone can take a moment to think a positive thought for Josh. Josh was struck by a car yesterday and is in serious condition at Harborview. This kid is by far and away the toughest person I know or will ever know. H2o could use your thoughts as well...

Eric, if there's ANYTHING you need, let us know. We'll rally for you and Josh.

I've never met Josh and I've only talked with Eric via email, but I too feel sick to my stomach. Hang tough, bud, and I'll see you in March.

Quick update for those that are concerned.

The good news is that those injuries that were most life threatening are believed to be under control. The night before last they performed surgery on Josh's head to fix a subdural hematoma (sp?). They believe that is repaired and should not be an issue.

As far as I know they still do not know the extent of Josh's fractures. I know they were planning on taking the x-rays last night but I haven't heard since. The last I spoke with H2o I was left with the impression that Josh has more broken bones then not.

Thank you everyone for the kind words and thoughts! I know Eric and his family appreciate them very much!

It's good Josh is doing better, really sucks that it happened in the first place though. I read this post last night and my wife and I were very saddened. Josh was in my prayers and will continue to be. I'm so sorry, Eric. Our highest hopes go out to you and yours.

I havent been on the board in awhile but decided to take a look tonight and this story brought tears to my eyes. Just a quick update. (I'm at work!)

I spoke with Eric yesterday and he said Josh has turned a corner. The Doctors know he is going to live, but they also know his recovery period is going to be long.

Josh has finally been able to converse coherently with his parents and visitors (one of which is famous or at least in the playoffs). His spirits are up and he was joking with some of his friends. He has had several surgeries and will probably need more but for now there is no timeline for those future surgeries. As far as I know there isn't even a timeline for when he can leave the hospital. He is still confined to a special bed that they use for spinal cord injuries.

I do want to personally thank everyone for their support both financially and spiritually. Our family is forever greatful!

I apologize I haven't been on email or replied to PM's, I will try to later today or tomorrow. I've needed to decompress after a really really long week...

Talked to Hoh Humm at lunchtime. Josh is doing well, cracking jokes and I'm told will pull through fine. Thanks to everyone who rallied in support of the kid.
