If this board had a respect rating I would give Eric the highest rating possible. And that's before I read the story about Josh's fishing trip.
My thoughts and prayers are with Josh and his family!
Thanks for getting this started Sol.
I'm in.

What do you guys think about organizing a day to show up at the hospital and bring him a pile of goodies?

Please post how we can help. I will contribute what I can. I will also talk to friends, PSA Members and family about Josh's situation in hopes they can also contribute.

Josh's Grandmother had setup a charitable account at a local bank for his wheelchair donations. I will attempt to get that information and setup a paypal account with it. I should have it set up by the end of the day.
Eric asked me to let everyone know he really appreciates your thoughts and concerns. He was a little overwhelmed when I mentioned people were asking how they could donate to the cause.
The good news is Josh is conscious and can tell who is in the room. He will be having more surgery Friday to repair fractures in his arms and legs. Lots of good thoughts for Josh tomorrow!!!
Again, from Eric and Josh's family thank you very much for your well wishes and thoughts!

I can only hope that there is a speedy recovery. It's a real bummer deal.. Certainly hurts reading it all. Here's what I'm thinking. When Josh recovers I'll arrange a trip for summer steelhead in my boat with Nick Amato and Eric and whoever else wants to participate. I want to make sure that Josh get's to land all the fish he can handle.... Eric, get into touch with me when all is back in order. We'll put a smile on Josh's face again that will never be forgotten. I promise! Keith

Just a quick update. (I'm at work!)
I spoke with Eric yesterday and he said Josh has turned a corner. The Doctors know he is going to live, but they also know his recovery period is going to be long.
Josh has finally been able to converse coherently with his parents and visitors (one of which is famous or at least in the playoffs). His spirits are up and he was joking with some of his friends. He has had several surgeries and will probably need more but for now there is no timeline for those future surgeries. As far as I know there isn't even a timeline for when he can leave the hospital. He is still confined to a special bed that they use for spinal cord injuries.
I do want to personally thank everyone for their support both financially and spiritually. Our family is forever greatful!
I apologize I haven't been on email or replied to PM's, I will try to later today or tomorrow. I've needed to decompress after a really really long week...

Glad to hear that he is on the mend. Hope the rest of the family is doing okay, too.
