Hey Guys (and girls),

I don't get on here too often, but wanted to alert everyone of some new boats that were stolen over the weekend in Everett and Mt. Vernon. If everyone keeps their eyes and ears open maybe we can help put the crooks in the place where they belong. I feel bad for the owners, but would also hate to see a honest person get tricked into buying stolen property!

Here is a link to the information (I hope it is O.K.):
http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/boa/285690983.html

Thanks for any help,
Tower Todd

That sucks that north river is a $70,000+ boat. hard to sell a boat without a title so hopefully they can find it before these dirtbags cut it up for scrap aluminum to recycle.

Just talked to my buddy who got his Nort River up there at Bayside. His bud that works there told him they rammed the work truck that was blocking the gate to get in and the North RIver they stole was set up for delivery today (all equipoed and ready to fish) and was about $80k+. Ouch f$(*&g theives.
Looks like they need to come out with an upgrade to the trunk monkey, the new "boat Gorilla". Complete with knives cutting board and BIG crab pots!!

Soooo.. when do we put a bounty on these rat bastards!!!!!

I don't think you can chalk this one up to meth-heads. MUCH more likely that it was experienced criminals who knew what they were doin'.

I can just see it now:

Tweaker - "Hey man, I need to score."
Dealer - "You got money this time?"
Tweaker - "No, but I got this big hunk of aluminum hitched up to the Pinto out front... it's gotta be worth at least an ounce or two!"

Tweakers are usually so addled they stick to easy marks like cars parked at boat ramps, backdoors unlocked, things left out in yards, that sort of thing.

IMHO, this was something well planned. Those boats are prolly being re-stamped or hacked apart up in BC right now in a nice big, well equipped, heated machine shop.

I was on my way to work this morning when I spotted a Northriver crossing my path at the Gig Harbor 4 way stop near the high school. I went through and started thinking about what I had read on craigslist about the stolen boats. The boat was the same description that was stolen, with the black stripe. I pulled a u-turn and followed it for about two miles, I even had my camera ready to take some pics, but then I missed a light and it evaded me. Don't know if it was the same boat, but I did call "Bayside Marine" and told them about it. It was pulled by an older dodge truck , had the Yamaha on the back, no kicker and no fishing gear. Hmmmm, could it have been?

Wish I wouldn't have had to go to work, would have loved to get those rat*****.

Yea I think to get these things out of a lot you have to plan it out. Not exactly easy to just say "lets go hit up the marina for a few $70 k boats."

Someone knew what they were doing. Someone "might" have known the exact trailer ball size and connection for the trailer lights, and is probably ripping the boat for scrap metal and trying to sell the other stuff like motor, electronics, etc.....

Or if changing all the numbers and stuff on it and selling it as a "new" boat...

I was watching King 5 news this evening and there was a massive wreck on I-90 and in the pictures there was 2 larger type boats in that footage. Looks like they were in a bit of the wreckage.

They were both completly covered in the white plastic wrap. I couldn't tell if they were aluminum or fiberglass.

Anybody else see that? Could they be the boats? I don't know but it was 2 large cabin type boats in the footage and it looks like they were traveling together..

They looked to be fiberglass boats.

Plus, what would they be doing coming west on I-90?
They were stolen in like Everett....No point to go east of the mountains then come back. Plus, you usually have to do some paperwork if your shipping a boat on a flatbed trailer.

boats are most likely stuffed in containers headed for another country about now. two new boats were snatched last week in Ore also, kinda coincidental?.

BOAT THEFTS BAFFLE MARINE INDUSTRY

On Saturday February 24 Jerry Thomas, owner of Tom and Jerry’s Boat Sales, arrived at work to find one of his boats was missing. A 24 foot Raider Offshore with two Hondas outboards had disappeared sometime Friday night. This is a unique Aluminum boat with a slant windshield, one of few ever built by Raider. Jerry used the normal locking mechanisms to secure the boat and trailer but this didn’t slow down the thieves. Keep an eye out for this boat. It is maroon in color. We have discovered that other dealers have had recent incidents of their own. Todd Lalone of Bayside Boats in Everett lost a 24 foot Northriver Offshore on Sunday night, and Westcoast Marine Services of Bellingham was burglarized and lost 8 new small horsepower Honda outboards, a used 15 Honda and a used 15 Johnson. Master Marine of Mount Vernon recently had a 22 foot Orca stolen. It was fully equipped with a 225 Suzuki outboard and EZ Loader trailer. Authorities would appreciate any information leading to the arrest of these scumbags. Lets put them in jail!
