I hear ya. I lived in Eugene when my Dad was in Graduate school. Definately a "green" place to live.

Incidently, does anyone know how the term 4:20 got associated with the activity? NOFISH was looking at me a little funny last night, as he's known me to be a devout 5:30 man.

I never did in high school and got crappy grades. Began in college and got great grades. I vaguely remember my senior year. In Ellensburg, back in the day, you could sit down in any college tavern and immediately be handed a joint.

I do think that excess bakedness can cause memory loss. Excuse me, what's you name again? Oh, only kidding honey. The good news is, now I can hide my own Easter eggs.

Did some doobie back in college nearly 30 years ago. My roommate's good ole Snohomish homegrown. He threw some seeds in an abandoned cow pasture and in a few months it took a chainsaw to cut down the plant. I thought it was Christmas when he walked through the dorm door with a six foot tree. After that, no more, just tequila and a good cigar.

I did it in high school and got shi%%y grades. I did it in college and got awesome grades. I believe managing the use of Mary Jane responcibly requires maturity, and kids don't have it.

In reality I smoke relatively little. I enjoy achieving the "suggestion of a high" vs getting so baked I can't function. Again, moderation is the key.

Extensive research has shown that canabus only affects short term memory, I.E., memory inputs under the influence. There is no data to indicate long term memory is negitively affected. So, if you are in school or have to fucntion at a high performance level (you do something other than did ditches for a living), it's an activity best left for after hours.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Why am I always the last one to know? I've never heard it called 4:20 until I read this thread. And I'm class of '67; I didn't know anyone in my age group existed who didn't use, or at least try, pot.

Goinfishin,

I don't cry over the pot and other drugs seized by the gov't. I'm just disgusted at the billions of public $ flushed down the toilet in the gov't's misguided "war on drugs" whose greatest accomplishment is making the drug trade a lucrative business. Make me dictator for a day and I'll reduce the crime rate by more than half by legalizing all drugs. Unfortunately we'd have to provide vocational retraining for DEA and other narc enforcement along with the drug cartels.

Not wanting to rant, I best stop here . . .

Sol, I think it's called 4:20 because that't the police response code..As in 411(robbery) in progress.. Maybe goin'fishin can elaborate?

I was handed a home rolled by a Marine in a bar in Vung Tau in '66. Ten minutes later I discovered what true paranoia was.

Its actually RCW 69.50.420...prohibits stuff like that. In all seriousness...if all I had to worry about was weed...society would be much better off
