was going to pound the local rivers next weekend but they look shot...fished the ronde in the fall but heard march is awesome as well. any reports/advice on flows etc...

The Ronde is way high.

I've never fished it in the winter or spring. Dark steelhead in ice cold water hasn't added up to enough interest for me to persue it. This time of year there are bright wild steelhead to go after, and I guess that's why I don't go east at this time.

thanks salmo, that is why i have never been as well in spring but thought it might be an option with my local favorite blown out again...ill wait for the fall and sneak over for some surface action.
