Irie, they're stuff is great. I'm sure you'll have people tell you the hooks bend ect, I've never lost a fish due to them bending. I get them tied up a thousand at a time, so I've tested them. They will bend when hung up, but at least you get your gear back. If you do a search you wil find posts that have lots of replies, both good and bad. Give them a try.

Not to rain on the parade but a few notes that I have found over the years with thousands of visions used.
One: If you straighten one out on a snag....retie as they are a soft wire and once bent they bend again very easily.
Two: The larger sizes are too heavy of wire with too big of a barb in my opinion. Great in small sizes not so much in larger salmon sizes.
Three: There swivels are great

they make excellent swivels, but the snaps on them are really flimsy and if you bend one out while drift fishing(e.g., snag up and lose your lead), it's nearly impossible to reuse the snap.
haven't used their hooks in a long time -- i've been using brad's, they're cheaper. couple swipes with a file and they're as sharp as any owner or gami. haven't lost any fish due to them either.

yeeeahhh...the bend/open up....the chances of it happening on a fish are small but still there...would you rather put your trust in a hook that never or super rarely bends ( gami/owner) or in a hook that i will guarentee will bend ?
That being said...i landed a 26 lbs steelhead on a vision hooked jig...straightened the hook out...i landed the fish about 4 seconds prior to the hook being an arrow.
but as far as faith in your gear....i use them for meat salmon fishing...cheap and if you lose a fish ( i lose lots on those hooks) ehhh no big deal hundreds more to catch.

i'll never use 'em again, period.
i'll just never forget the day i spent my last ten bucks on a couple packs of their Siwash hooks and, as I was standing in my spot putting together some bc steels, had every last one of those pieces of junk break just trying to squeeze the eye closed...
...yeah, it was years ago but that is the kind of thing that sticks with you, you know?

I use thier swivels but they are limited in the sizes. I talked with the owner who told me of a #3 wide gap sidedfifting hook he was gonna send me to try. Never saw them. I would never let anyone in my boat use thier hooks. They bend, and they break in my opinion.-TBJ

I only fish with Vision's. Have since 2000. Never lost a fish due to either the hook "bending out" or breaking. Ever. Never had a swivel failure. Ever. They are a FINE wire hook. As such, they are the best on the market for the price, hands down. Vision has been under a new owner for 3 years now, and as such, the product line is now stable and good. What happened to H20 wouldn't happen again. (Those craptastic siwash hooks never ever should have been sold. Sorry, dude. You got hosed.) The owner is top notch, the product line is solid and the company is doing great.

Holy H20 sighting Hope things are doing good your way Eric.. I've been fishing vision's for a few years now, and honestly, I haven't lost any fish due to hook issues.. HOWEVER, this summer, I have had a handful of the size 7 interlock snaps open up and straighten out resulting in lost fish.. will I continue to use them? Probably..

I have had a handful of the size 7 interlock snaps open up and straighten out resulting in lost fish. How is the even possible? They INTERLOCK. What species of fish were you fishing for with a #7 swivel? Say "king salmon" and you deserved that. Say "red" or "silver" and I'll you to quit snagging those fish in the arse! Also, what gear (other than a piece of lead) were you connecting to the interlocking swivel bit itself? (spoons, spinners, plugs are all connected via a barrel swivel or plug snap). PS. Visions also don't make for good snagging hooks. They bend out too easily in the tails/arse/fins of a fish. All the Skok guys don't use Visions. You gotta get a good VMC, Mustad, or even a Gammy for that.

I was given samples of the newer version hooks a couple of seasons ago. No complaints from me. IMHO Good value for the dollars spent.
Regarding the swivels; never had a problem fishing the Columbia, Chehalis, or even South Sound with them for chinook and coho.
