I'll bet it will look pretty cool once it is mounted and painted up. He will talk about that for years. He will also have a bunch of splaining to do to anyone that see it that has never seen a Humpy.

I don't think the weight calculator would work on that thing - what's longer length or girth? I think that will visit me in a nightmare too, but that is great for the guy to get his name in the record books.

Forget the smoker, just put a straw in it...

I've often pondered this type of event.
A guy goes out and drags in a half dead 99lb king after it squirts it's load and has white fungus all over it's badly decomposing body.
Does it seem right that it should be crowned the new record?
Isn't a brilliant chrome bright 70 lber more impressive?.....
Hmmmmmm.
I guess you can't weigh chrome.

I cant imagine trying to fillet that thing. still a record though.

Being unaware that there are even records for these fish, I think I would have said "thats a big one" and kicked it loose while trying not to touch it.

The cannery I worked in Petersburg AK used to can fish that looked almost that bad. Never buy a can of salmon marked with a N on the lid. N is code for nasty leather skinned Pink. I think H code was for pinks that were in decent shape.

That fish in the picture is N !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still, cool record.

Can you imagine how much it must hurt to go through a metamorphis like that. That must be proof to PETA that fish can't feel hooks, yeah right!

Got one the other day on the green, have no idea if it was in the same league as that one, but it was impressively large. That was my exact quote, and no, I didn't touch it.

Gnar fish.

Good for that kid, a world record, even if it is an pig fugly fish, is still a world record.
