The was a documentary a while back, about a base jumper who lost his life doing that type of crazy stuff.
He was planning a fly-by past a bridge loaded with spectators. The plan was to fly past the bridge during his freefall and then open his shute.
He hit the bridge railing at 90+ mph with his legs on the way by.
