If you know anything about how health insurance works you will take Blue water pro first post for the truth. It's a company to make money not to "help you when your sick" and don't forget that.

I haven't seen yet how nationalized healthcare is going to deal with the issue of a healthcare plan that is negociated as part of a wage package. The employees get a healthcare package in lieu of some part of the wages. It isn't given "free" out of the kindness of the employers heart.

BWP shocks me. I thought he favored all things conservative, like capitalists who put up the money so they can suck the life out of under-valued labor and thereby maximize profit, sort of like the insurance company CEO is doing by denying claims and taking his multi-million year end bonus. Does BWP have multiple personality disorder?

Back to topic, Hillary might as well stay in the race and let the results tally the magnitude of her loss. I rest better believing that a majority of Americans don't think Hillary is America's sweetheart.

That is funny. The same way I feel. I'm not exactly impressed with canada's health care. Something like 2.2 doctors (not nurses) per 1000 people, and I don't exactly want to wait for hours for the ER when I have a broken arm. Wait times there are ridiculous.

There's a reason why a good amount of people in Canada come down to the states to get all sorts of operations/surgeries...

Just a random thought - how can Canadians afford these operations? I'm not making fun of your post - how can they afford what we Americans can't? Something is still wrong with the picture.

Also, my biggest objection to the insurance companies is that they tell doctors what medicines they can prescribe and procedures they can perform. This is called "practicing medicine without a license" and I believe it's a felony. However, I learned from the Michael Moore movie "Sicko" that President Nixon allowed this whole mess to start (health care for profit). Good luck to us all...

Hillary is not the health care person she was as first lady. She's all cozied up with the insurance lobby now.

Because they don't want to wait for a surgery that they are willing to pay for. Also, not every type of surgery/operation is covered by their health care, so some have to pay for it anyways, and they come to the states to have it done because it's usually cheaper (I think) and the quality is better in the states...

I think the Canadians that don't have a lot of money aren't coming to the US for medical treatment.
