They finally get a decent starting rotation and now their bullpen sucks, they cant field and they cant hit worth a darn. The price of concessions has nothing to do with attendance. Seattle is a "winning-friendly" city. If you win, Seattlites will attend the games and will love you. If you lose, Seattle could give a rats butt about you. Like the Sonics. Put them in the playoffs the last 5 years and they would still be here with no hint of ever leaving. Put them in losing seasons the last 5 years and Seattle can't kick them out the door fast enough. M's better put together some winning seasons by the time Safeco falls apart and they ask for a new stadium. As long as Mr. Allen owns the Seahawks, they are safe. He's got money and will BUY a good team. I like Paul!

The enigma is they are a weakling if one measures things by winning and losing. Yet, they are one of the most profitable sports franchises in the land. The leadership is genius when it comes to marketing. But, they are mental midgets when it comes to fielding a winner.
