Mr. Dave,

If there is a sign for the campground along 101 the campground will be packed.....the main CG's are often very crowded and they cost money. I like the free ones on the Hoh....Cottonwood, Minnie, and the aforementiond one on the S. Fork of the Hoh is hard to beat. Your son would love Yahoo, located in the Clearwater area....it has a three sided cabin with bunks and fireplace and the lake has plenty of trout. First come, first serve, no reservations....

Ike

All the Klaloch beach camping areas are cool as well as the copper mine bottom up the clearwater and some of the smaller campgrounds up the Hoh.

Peace

Another shot for Yahoo Lake, take Clearwater mainline up then follow signs, occasionally you'll run into people but you'll have the space mostly to yourself.

Haven't been that way in a few years though.

Wow thanks for all the responses! It's very much appreciated.
I'll let ya'll know where we ended up going.

I fished the Yakima the last 2 days. Eastern WA had a late spring like we did apparently as it's still green over there. The water was great and the fish pretty active. We also saw 2 pelicans which I thought weird.
